Here's your completely 3D printed RC motorcycle

After focussing on car parts and radio controlled (RC) cars, 3D printing specialists BTI3Dlabs have turned their attention to two wheels, printing a miniature RC version of the Ducati draXter concept unveiled in 2016.

Owner Brett Turnage has been working on the design since June 2016, alongside a replica of the Suzuki GSX-RR MotoGP bike. Now both models are complete, along with step-by-step guides for those interested in printing their own.

The automotive industry was an early adopter of 3D printing, using it primarily for rapid prototyping and design, but Turnage believes the process can provide more detail in RC models.

Everything, including the drivetrain of the models is 3D printed and the tiny 3D printed rider perched on top steers the bike, turning the bars by moving around the bike. Our Christmas list is already coming together.
