Rare and exotic bikes up for sale at COYS auction

More than 130 rare and classic motorcycles, worth millions of pounds, will be auctioned off on Saturday, February18 as the COYS auction returns to the Carole Nash MCN London Motorcycle Show.

Machines include a 1934 Brough Superior 680 Junior, which is one of only five models that survive. You’ll need deep pockets though as it’s expected to fetch between £80,000 and £100,000. There’s also a 1939 Moto Guzzi Albatros compressore ‘Gerolamo’, which is estimated to be worth £70,000-£100,000.

Chris Routledge, CEO of Coys, said: “We are delighted to return to London for our landmark annual motorcycle sale with a wide range of classic sports and racing bikes. This is the only international motorcycle auction of this scale and calibre held in thecapital, at one of the most important shows in the world.”

If race bikes are more your bag then they have you covered there too, with some absolutely mouth-watering machines; from an ex-Tom Sykes 2008 Rizla Suzuki GSX-R1000 BSB machine (£20,000-£25,000), or if a BSB-spec bike ridden by a world champion isn’t quite fancy enough for you, you could buy Troy Corser’s Ducati 996 RS factory World Superbike.

Perhaps you’re more for the homologation specials. The auction doesn’t disappoint here either, be it a stunning Yamaha YZF-R7 OW-02 (£22,000-£25,000), the iconic Honda VFR750R RC30 (£22,000-£25,000) or an absolutely stunning Honda RVF750R RC45 with just 1km on the clock (£45,000-£50,000). There’s also the super-rare and super exotic oval piston wonder that is the Honda NR750, which has an estimate of £55,000-£60,000.

The bikes will be available to view at the Carole Nash MCN London Motorcycle show from Friday, February 17, however to bid on a machine you will need to purchase a COYS programme which costs £5.
