2017 Custom bike competition winners announced #MCNShow

An exquisite, titanium framed V11 Moto Guzzi took top honours in the MCN London Custom Building Championship at the weekend (Feb 17-19) despite some impressive competition from the cream of custom bike builders from the UK and across Europe.

Built by Bognor Regis based custom builder Paul Milborne, the Guzzi features a frame fabricated from machined and exquisitely Tig welded grade 5 titanium billet and a swing-arm made from CP3 titanium tube. The V11 motor is largely in stock tune but embellished with Lectron Carburetors (with titanium bell mouths) and Sport 1100 rocker covers.

The bike is littered with bespoke titanium parts including a one-off exhaust, sub frame and rear sets. 99% of the bolts on the bike are titanium, the front forks are from a Ducati 1198. The stunning fairing, tank and seat unit is all made from aluminium sheet that’s been hammered, shaped, welded and polished by Paul. The resulting bike is not only stunning to look at but 70kg lighter than a stock V11, weighing in at just 155kg.
