Bolt are back!

More space, more bikes and a banging launch party for new HQ

Bolt Motorcycles closed the doors on their previous shop towards the end of last year, finding that as their popularity was rocketing, the usable shop space was shrinking – rapidly.

Cue the decision to relocate to larger premises, which opened in Stoke Newington last week. Steeped in charm and historical relevance, the new base was originally built as stables before becoming home to the Duguid Bros, famed for building Tritons, and making motorcycle fairings back in the seventies.

The space had to be large enough to house motorcycles and the contents of the shop, have adequate parking and be accessible.

The opening was heralded with a massive party that saw the new space completely mobbed, within half-an-hour there was hardly room to move as bikes, scooters and American muscle cars lined the streets outside.

Bolt maestro Andrew Almond said: “We closed the event at nine but that seemed to be the beginning of a very long night for many who trawled their way home via the bars and clubs of Dalston. Thanks to all who came, it was great to see old friends and new faces alike, and also locals getting involved.”

The new HQ is a little of everything for custom enthusiasts, a showroom for bespoke bikes from some of the leading custom shops in the UK, a social space for the like-minded to hang out, a shop and also a garage.

You can find Bolt at 1a Bouverie Road, Stoke Newington, London. N16 0AH.
