The fourth Classic TT festival proved to be a huge hit with thousands travelling to the Isle of Man to watch TT stars of past and present race the Mountain course on historic race machinery.

Current TT favourites such as John McGuinness, Bruce Anstey, Michael and William Dunlop, Michael Rutter, Dean Harrison, Conor Cummins, Gary Johnson and Cameron Donald battled it out on 250cc, 350cc, 500cc and superbike machinery on the famous 37.73-mile Mountain circuit.

They were joined by stars from the past, too. Steve Plater, Brian Reid, Graeme Crosby, Mick Grant, Charlie Williams and Phillip McCallen, plus three-times world champion Freddie Spencer and World Superbike legend Pierfrancesco Chili, who took part in parade laps and meet the fans events on a variety of historic machines.

Over 15,000 people attended a huge display of vintage motorcycles at Jurby airfield on Sunday, with hundreds of classic era machines circulating on the airfield track beneath a display of WWII aircraft.

Run in conjunction with the Manx Grand Prix races, the event has attracted the top classic race bike builders in a bid to claim victory in the world’s greatest test of machinery. For 2016 a 250cc race was introduced for the first time, with Bruce Anstey claiming victory from the field of 55 entries.
