Norton shot scoops MotoFoto top spot

Alex Rainnie wins Carole Nash MCN photographic competition.

Congratulations to Alex Rainnie who has been crowned Britain’s best amateur bike photographer after taking top spot in MotoFoto – the competition run by MCN and bike insurance specialist Carole Nash.

Chosen ahead of hundreds of rival entrants, Alex’s evocative shot depicts a vintage Norton rendered in moody monochrome.

The result was announced on the Carole Nash Insurance Consultants stand at Motorcycle Live last week with WSB and BSB stars Jonathan Rea and Leon Haslam on hand to offer congratulations.

Alex said: “I felt quite nervous as I was waiting to hear the results and I was absolutely stunned when I found out I had won! It was amazing to meet Leon and Jonathan and felt very surreal to hear them discussing my photo. I’d like to thank everyone at Carole Nash for making my day at Motorcycle Live so great. I’m absolutely over the moon with my win and it’s a day I’ll never forget.”
