Tour Cuba on a Harley with Che Guevara’s son

1 of 5

You could discover the country of Cuba from the comfort of a Harley-Davidson, guided by Ernesto Guevara, son of famed revolutionary Che.

Ernesto is currently offering a seven-day tour, which heads to Trinidad, Cienfuegos and Santa Clara and includes a visit to his father’s mausoleum, or a nine day tour which adds a couple of days at the beach in Cayo Santa Maria.

“We can’t go as far as Santiago – the road is terrible,” says Ernesto, speaking to The Guardian. “But we do custom trips. If clients want to go west to Pinar del Río and Viñales for example, we’ll go. And we take in some places tourists wouldn’t normally go – like an old Harley workshop.”

Ernesto’s fleet of 10 bikes is made up of Electra Glides, Sportster 1200 and V-Rod models, all able to carry pillions.

Tours with Ernesto start at $3,250pp (£2227) for two people sharing a bike and a room, including accommodation and meals.
