Video: Triumph teases new Street Triple

A video posted to Triumph’s official YouTube account appears to tease the launch date of the new Street Triple as January 10 2017.

The video shows the upcoming model doing a burnout in an empty warehouse. New details on the new model are difficult to make out due to the tyre smoke, but it does appear the new model will get the headlights from the latest Speed Triple. You can also make out bar-end mirrors, which are likely to be an official accessory.

A close up at the end of the video shows the new bike will have a full-colour dash, which replaces the digital/analogue combination on the current model.

MCN first revealed details of the new Street Triple in April 2016, when the bike was spotted undergoing testing. It was again spotted testing in Spain in June

We expect the new model to be closer to 800cc with a power output of around 125bhp. Market research conducted by Triumph earlier this year suggested that the Street Triple will also be joined by the Street Triple R and two completely new models dubbed the Street Triple RT and Street Triple RS which will feature half fairings and be slightly more practical.
