Can you hear the Thunder? Bikers flock to the Highlands for annual rally.

This weekend saw Aviemore in the Cairngorms come alive with the sound of Thunder! It wasn’t your normal weather related thunder but the sound of 1000s of bikes, roaring through the glens for the annual Thunder in the Glens rally.

In its 20th year this was the biggest and best yet. Organised by the Dunedin HOG Chapter it was a packed weekend with the highlight being a parade through the beautiful Highlands, taking in mountains, lochs and some superb sweeping roads.

Locals and tourists alike lined the route to watch the procession, which took over half an hour to pass by. Whilst the main throng of bikes were Harley-Davidsons all were welcome to take part. The final destination was Grantown-on-Spey and with the town centre closed to all other traffic the bikes took over, making for a carnival atmosphere.
