Video: Motorcyclist saves kitten

A motorcyclist in the United States has won the hearts of Reddit users, after stopping to save a kitten that was stranded in the middle of a busy intersection when other road users failed to stop.

The kitten appears to fall from the underside of a red car as it crosses the junction, before being driven over by the following vehicle.

Several vehicles come perilously close to running the kitten over, as the rider complains about the length of the red light, before she realises the kitten is not a leaf. As soon as she becomes aware of the kitten and his plight, the rider pulls into the middle of the junction, running a red light in the process, to pick up the kitten and hand it to a passer by.

The kitten is currently in the care of his rescuer, and has been given the name Skidmark.

Quick to spot the video, and a potential marketing opportunity, onboard camera manufacturer GoPro have offered to send the rescuer a care package.
