Triumph unveil Barbour special edition
Triumph have unveiled yet another special build, following on from the release earlier today of the Venom. This new street tracker has been built to mark a tie-up between the two world-famous British brands, celebrating the launch of a unique clothing collaboration. The ‘Barbour International Triumph 1 Street Tracker’, or BIT1 for short, is a stripped down flat-track styled Bonneville build completed in-house at Triumph.
Far from being just a lick of paint, the BIT1 features extensive frame modifications, with all of the rear passenger metal work, pillion pegs, subframe and battery box removed. A bespoke Redmax Speedshop seat was modified to provide the authentic flat-track tail, while suspension duties are handled by custom built K-Tech Razor rear shocks, and the complete replacement of the Bonneville front end with a Street Triple R fork. Slash cut pipes and a conversion to carbs, swapping out the stock EFI system for Keihin 36mm smooth-bores are yet further nods tpo the heritage theme.
Barbour International have customised a jacket exclusively for the collaboration, featuring CE approved armour at the shoulders and elbows, authentic four pocket detailing and a signature International Jacket belted waist. Available in both men’s and ladies fit the Triumph Barbour Riding Jacket will be available in Triumph dealerships from August 2015. Sadly the BIT1 is a one-off, and won’t be available at your local dealer. You can see it at Bike Shed London this weekend, May 23-24, though.
