BMW posts record January sales

BMW has announced record-breaking sales figures for January 2015 with more than 6200 motorcycles and scooters sold around the world.

The best-ever January sales figures follow the fourth successive record year of sales in 2014. January saw 6263 total sales compared to 5438 sold in January 2014.

Heiner Faust, BMW head of sales and marketing said: “Following the fourth record year in succession, 2015 is off to a very successful start for BMW Motorrad. With 6263 vehicles sold and a growth of 15.2% it is the best January in company history.

“Never before have we sold more motorcycles in the first month of the year than in January 2015. Our current model range is meeting a strong demand worldwide. Numerous innovative and emotional vehicles will be supplementing our product portfolio this coming season.”

BMW is continuing to add new models to the line-up with an all-new BMW S1000RR and R1200R roadster recently launched with MCN giving both rave reviews. The updated F800R was also another new model for 2015 and there are still new other new bikes to come this year in the shape of the R1200RS and the S1000XR.
