BMW R1200GS ridden around abandoned holiday camp

Those who scoff at the off-road ability of the BMW R1200GS might want to watch Russian rider Vadim Shpilevsky in action as he rides around an abandoned children’s holiday camp near Moscow.

The only modifications to the bike appear to the removal of the windscreen so it can fit under some of the low doorways and some extra bash plates for the engine’s oil sump. There are some knobblier tyres fitted but it’s otherwise stock.

The video, filmed by Daniel Kushnarevich, is entitled Desolation and when you see the slightly creepy and eerie surroundings of the kid’s holiday camp which is located around 30 miles outside Moscow then you can understand why.

Looks like great fun.
