McGuinness looking forward to MCNLive this weekend!

Despite breaking his wrist two weeks ago in what he describes as one of the biggest crashes of his career. TT legend John McGuinness says he can’t wait to get to MCNLive! at Butlins Skegness and meet up with the fans (as well as sneaking in a family holiday!).

“I’ve had a couple of weeks of hell since crashing my endure bike. I haven’t been injured since 2002, and I’d forgotten what pain feels like! In all the years that I’ve raced bikes, I’ve never had as heavy a knock as this, I’ve been s***ing blood and everything!”

“I’m well looking forwards to Butlins though! I’m old school, and the McGuinness’s have a good time wherever we go. I’m not sure what to expect, but a few beers and a craic will do. I’m bringing my four year old too so chuck her down the slides in the Waterpark and have some fun!”

Originally down to lead the ride-out to Cadwell Park alongside the MCN staffers on their 2014 long term test bikes, McGuinness was forced to back down after breaking his wrist in the crash. However, a few days in the sun at BSB testing in Almeria has reduced the swelling and the TT legend says he’ll find some way to make it along.

“I’m thinking about doing the rideout, and the swelling is going down nicely, so we’ll get out there with the guys to Cadwell some way – I might even go pillion, but it depends who’s riding!”

Even if you haven’t managed to grab a ticket for the weekend, you can still buy day passes. An adult tickets costs just £18, kids get in for £14 and a family ticket (two adults, two kids) is just £56. It’s a great value day out for all ages. Check out www.mcnlive.co.uk for all the details.
