TT practice kicks off on Saturday (May 25th) and to celebrate the start of the biggest two weeks in the racing calendar we’ve picked out 3 documentaries featuring outstanding TT heroes.

Stanley Wood was the first ‘legend’ of the Mountain course with tes wins over seven years. With glimpses of remarkable early TT footage, Stanley talks about his racing life in the 1920s and 30s.

Speaking of legends, Steve Hislop was another rider who not only conquered the island, but also found his way into the hearts of millions of TT fans with his 1992 victory on the Norton. Watch his on-board lap from 1990.

And finally, Champion Hailwood. It’s thirty five years next week since Mike ‘the bike’ Hailwood made his comeback on the Island. After eleven years in retirement and riding a very unfancied Ducati 900SS, Hailwood pulled off the greatest comeback since Lazarus.
