Motorsport legend John Surtees OBE will be supporting the Edenbridge Fun Day this Bank holiday weekend. Surtees, the only person to have won world championships on both two and four wheels will join the event in celebration of his achievements on May 27.

Held in Surtees’ home town, the special event will feature static displays and a parade of rare racing machinery as well as veteran and classic vehicles. The event aims to raise awareness and funds for the Henry Surtees Foundation, which was established by John Surtees following the death of his son Henry while competing in a Formula 2 race in 2009, aged 18.

The foundation gives young people opportunities to experience the emotion, disciplines and learning that the world of motor sport offers.

Notable motorcycles taking part in the parade will include a 1960 MV Agusta and a 1954 BMW Rennsport twin-cylinder, Surtees himself will be driving a TS7 Formula 1 car which he raced at the British Grand Prix in 1970.
