Dirt Quake

1 of 1

Dirt Quake, the ultimate mix of high octane dirt track racing in a never before seen way will take place in Norfolk this June.

What is it?
‘Dirt Quake is Sideburn magazine’s Day at the Races,’ says motorcycle travel writer Dan Walsh, Their ‘Go Fast, Turn Left’ celebration of the can be arsed. Their ‘It aint what you ride, it’s the way you ride it’ manifesto featuring three democratic, open to all comers classes for street trackers, inappropriate road bikes and, hell yeah, choppers.

I want to race!
There are three race classes, exactly the same as last year: Inappropriate road bike, Street tracker and Chopper.

Inappropriate road bike (IRB)
Your bike must be road legal with lights (taped up) and a registration plate. Enduro, supermoto and single cylinder trailies are not inappropriate. A big 750cc-plus adventure bike is, though.

Street tracker
This class is for road-legal street trackers or street scramblers with a registration plate and working tail light, it’s not a class for race bikes.

Chopper
It’s got to be a chopper, bobber or custom; it doesn’t have to be road legal but must look like a chopper. Hardtails and softails are accepted but if it’s a stock looking factory custom stick it in the IRB class.

What else
Live music, stunt riders, top level flat track racing, dealer booths and a motorised pie, what more could you possibly ask for?
