Ex-racer Emmett’s new bride dies

The new wife of ex-500GP racer Sean Emmett has died after apparently falling from a hotel window while the newly married couple were on honeymoon in Dubai.

Abbie Emmett, 27, died just days after arriving for a honeymoon in the United Arab Emirates with new husband Sean following their wedding two weeks ago in Cape Town, South Africa.

Emmett is now retired from racing but works as a taxi bike rider in London and also takes part in some classic racing.

Police in Dubai are investigating what happened to Mrs Emmett but it has been reported she fell from a hotel window last Tuesday.
