“The first round of the British Enduro Championship has been spoiled by the police, who on one of the few road sections, decided to nick all the competitors with undersized number plates, issuing £60 penalty notices!

“This is despite the organisers contacting the police beforehand and getting the go ahead to run the road sections with the bikes in this condition on the grounds that full-sized number plates would be useless.”
