Exotic Bimota DB1R up for grabs

1 of 1

The Ducati-based, Tamburini-styled DB1 has long been one of the most desirable of Bimotas, but the ultra-rare DB1R racer, built in conjunction with the Ducati factory, powered by a Ferracci-tuned 853cc engine is the most covetable of all. Price? £51,000.

The DB1 was the first Bimota with a Ducati engine. As well as the standard DB1 amd the very limited DB1R, there was the DB1S, which had different exhausts and larger carburetors. 63 were made.

There was also the DB1SR, which had a highly tuned engine and two-piece wheels made by Marvic/Akront. 153 were made.
