My turbocharged trike

Here’s my trike, powered by a turbocharged Rewaco 1.6 Z-tec motor, producing 185bhp at the minute.

I’m a paraplegic and I use it for rallys thoughout the year. I usually cover about 12/13k a year so does get used – not like some of these summertime bikers and their bikes!

Towards the end of the year the motor will be getting more power. I’m told it should be easy to get it up to 220bhp, and with it only weighing in at just over 600kg I think that equates to over 300bhp per ton, which is nice.

I’m often asked; ‘does it handle?’ Well lets just say that when I’m going up the Cat and Fiddle bikes can and do get in my way.
