South African Junior Motocross star, 11 year old Marcus Phelps is heading for the UK next week. Marcus is the reigning 65cc South African Northern Region Champion and is South African National runner up.

Having moved up to 85’s this year, he is again leading the Northern Region championship and again running second in the Nationals.

Marcus arrives in UK ready to pit his talent against the locals and in time for the final round of the Red Bull National on 24th/25th September for which his entry has been accepted, he is also entered for the Weston Junior Beach race on 1st October before heading back to sunny SA for the remaining rounds back home.

Kawasaki UK are kindly assisting Marcus with a brand new small wheeled 85 in order to compete during his whirlwind tour of 4 weeks only, priority no 1 on arrival is to get a new ACU approved crash helmet as his old faithfull SA helmet is not ACU approved, hopefully small junior sizes are readily available.

Marcus has been racing competitively since he was 6 years old so has a healthy 5 years experience behind him.

Marcus will be chaperoned buy his dad, Matthew and grandad, Len Phelps and will be hosted by and the house guest of none other than classic racing team manager Graham Veryard, a lifelong friend of Len.
