"There was nothing there"

1 of 2

My son was riding back from a mate’s house on Sunday 30/10/2011 in Torquay when an 80 year old BMW driver drove right into his bike whilst turning right, breaking his right leg.

His comment to the police officer was, “There was nothing there” The officer replied, “Obivously there was sir.”

My son will be off work for approx six months now. He’s already had one operation for five hours to put pins around the leg and is having another tomorrow to put a pin down through the bone.

Why don’t car drivers look?!
