Get on track with Ellison, Richards and the Lowes twins

1 of 1

PTR (Performance Technical Racing) is organising an all-action track day at Mallory Park on 11th August with some of the biggest names in British racing offering one-to-one track time with riders of all abilities.

Sam Lowes (Parkalgar Honda) is a World Supersport Championship revelation and the reigning British Supersport Champion. His brother Alex Lowes set the British Superbike Championship on fire with his incredible rides on his EVO bike. Glen Richards (WFR Honda) is a former BSB Championship contender and British Supersport Champion.

James Ellison (Bogdanka PTR Honda) is a former World Endurance Champion, double European Superstock Champion and BSB Championship runner-up who is targeting World Supersport success in 2011.

Each racer will lead one of just four select groups: Novice, Intermediate 1, Intermediate 2 and Advanced. Every single rider in each group will be offered 1-2-1 attention from the racer for one session (one racer, two riders, one session).

It means you’ll get 12-minutes of quality time with a current top level rider who can observe your riding and talk to you about it before and after the session – all within the price of the track day ticket.

It doesn’t matter whether you are new to riding or track days; or a veteran racer, the riders are there to help you enjoy the day and share with you their experiences, riding and tips.

On top of the riding experience, there is the opportunity for riders wanting to set their bikes up with a World Championship level Chief Technician. Mark Woodage (aka Brains) is James Ellison’s Crew Chief and Paul Williamson is Miguel Praia’s Chief Technician.

They will be available at a small extra charge to work on a maximum of 10 bikes each on the day to find a more comfortable and performance enhancing set-up using their years of experience with the world’s best.

PTR Director Simon Buckmaster said: “This is a great chance for riders of all levels to get on track with some of the best UK riders in the business and have a bit of personal attention from them.

“It is also a great opportunity for a track day and to have some great fun at a circuit in the midlands on what will hopefully be a great weather day in August. I’m personally looking forward to working with riders on their bike set-up and helping them achieve more on track.”

Each track day rider will get seven on-track sessions (one with a lead rider observing them) of 12 minutes each – that’s 84-high class minutes around a superb newly resurfaced track in total. Sign on is at 0730 with the briefing at 0820 and track sessions starting at 0900.

There will be a prize giving at the end of the day with each racer selecting a rider in their group that stood out from the crowd. The track day is limited in numbers, so early booking is advised to avoid disappointment.
Cost for the day is a bargain £179.99 and includes the 1-2-1 track time

Due to limited time, only 20 riders can book a set-up experience with Paul or Mark and this is an extra £20 each for the full day service. Bookings can be made exclusively at www.mallorypark.co.uk
