Triumph is urging aspiring champions to enter its Young Guns talent scheme before the 13 May deadline. Launched to turn promising young riders into the UK’s racetrack stars of tomorrow the scheme is open to all amateur ACU-licensed riders aged between 15 and 23, regardless of the make or type of bike they currently ride.

Applicants will be assessed by a panel of judges including race legend Frankie Chili, MCN Editor Marc Potter and senior management from Triumph, to select 10 lucky riders, who will be coached during the 2011 season. As part of the selection and mentoring, a number of tailored training sessions will take place over the year, focusing on issues such as personal fitness, racecraft and marketing/promotion.

The scheme will culminate at the final round of the MCE British Superbike Championship at Brands Hatch on October 7-9 2011, where three finalists will take part in the last Metzeler National Superstock 600 races of the year.

The overall winner of Triumph Young Guns 2011 will be awarded with a factory supported ride in the Triumph Triple Challenge in 2012.

Application forms can be obtained via the Triumph website
