Sky Sports presenter completes first ever ladies speedway school

1 of 2

Sky Sports presenter Charlie Webster headlined the first ever Ladies Speedway Training day – a special charity event organised by ex-riders Barry Bishop and Steve Mills.

Thirty women had a go at riding a speedway bike for the first time at Sittingbourne Speedway with ex-world champion Sam Ermolenko on hand to give tuition.

Entertainingly, Ermolenko was the only crasher of the day – he was unhurt, though few world champions have ever looked more embarrassed.

Money raised will go to Help for Heroes, NSPCC and Make-a-Wish Foundation charities.
