The £26,000 tool kit

An online auction for a ‘large collection’ of Snap-on tools has reached over £26,000 with a day of bidding to go.

The eBay lot includes hundreds of wrenches, sockets, c-spanners, ring spanners, pliers and screwdrivers.

One bidder is from Australia and plans to fly to the UK to collect if he wins.

The seller says he is a carpenter who ‘had the chance to purchase a workshop as a job lot with all the tools’.
