Bennetts Biking Dreams winners: Susie Cater

Bennetts celebrated its 80th birthday last year by running the £80,000 Biking Dreams competition. A motorcycle rider from Gosport in Hampshire, has been successfully chosen from thousands of entries in a nationwide competition to see her Biking Dream come true.

Susie Cater applied to the Bennetts competition set-up to fulfil £80,000 worth of Biking Dreams, asking for a new set of motorcycle clothing. But it wasn’t the actual request that made her stand out, it was the way in which she requested it, penning the rhyme: “My leathers are wearing increasingly thin, I fear that soon they’ll be down to my skin, so I’m asking that Bennetts let me have a new pair before the world gets a flash of my bare derriere!” 

Bennetts arranged the competition as part of their 80th anniversary campaign, arranged for Susie to go to her local store where she picked out a brand new leather riding jacket, plus matching trousers, boots and gloves.

“I was very surprised and delighted when Bennetts called to tell me I was one of the winners!” Said Susie, “The following Saturday morning was spent trying on virtually every item of clothing stocked by Hein Gericke in Southampton.”
