Foggy Petronas FP1 race parts wanted!

In MCN this week we ran a story about Swiss bike builder, Livio Kägi buying up some of the Foggy Petronas FP1 road bikes from oil giant Petronas, to sell on to interested collectors.

It looks like we could also see another FP1 running at selected special motorcycle events: the only genuine Petronas WSB bike in private hands, if the machine’s owner, Chris Wilson can source some essential parts.

The bike was bought from ex-team owner and four-times WSB champ Carl Fogarty, but there are a number of parts missing, which are needed to get it running again.

“A few years ago the Petronas team auctioned everything off, from spare fairings, to engine internals and pitboards”, Wilson says. “There must be loads of parts floating around out there gathering dust that could help me get the FP1 running. Foggy would love to see it going and has even agreed to ride it. It would be great to see him on it again.”
