Ross Noble's Sit Down Tour: Helicopters, candles and Spit the dog

Stand up comedian Ross Noble embarked on the Sit Down Tour in May to commemorate half a million bikes being produced at the Hinckley factory. Noble rode the 500,000th Triumph, a custom-painted Speed Triple, around the UK guided entirely by suggestions from followers of his Twitter page (@realrossnoble). After the tour the bike was auctioned at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, with all proceeds going to the charity Riders for Health.

In this fourth instalment the tour travels from Swansea to Welshpool to visit the pilots and paramedics of the Wales Air Ambulance service (or Ambiwlans Awyr Cymru), where Ross gets taken for a quick spin. The helicopter currently operates 5 days a week and fundraising efforts are being made to enable the vital service to run 7 days a week, which will cost an additional £500,000 per year. Back on land and back on the bikes, the tour heads to Chester to meet Twitter followers and then, on the strength of countless recommendations, to Bob Carolgees candle shop where Ross gets to meet Spit the dog.
