Ace ambition

I just recently fulfilled a long time ambition to have a ride-out down to the Ace Cafe on my Yamaha RD350 LC, which I bought 10 years ago and immediately started to dismantle and restore, and was something I thought I’d never get to do.

In the early 80’s I was involved in a major road accident which left me with chronic back pain and a very weak left foot, so I lost a lot of faith in my abilities to travel long distances.

I would just like to thank my mate Dave and his wife Nett, and all his mates from the bottom of my heart for helping me get there, especially as my Elsie over-heated in traffic 5 miles away from the cafe.

We all got there on our own steam(!) and had a great day out, thanks to everyone.
