Italian masters of all things shiny, Rizoma, now sell the same lever guards as used by Moto2 world champ Toni Elias.

Available for most sports bikes, they are designed to prevent the front brake lever from being activated in the fairing-bashing world of the MotoGP support championship.

The ‘Proguard’ system, it is claimed, also prevents air pressure from having an effect on the lever at (very high) speed.

They cost 89 Euros (£79) each, are available for both brake and clutch levers, and come in either silver, black or gold finish.
