DVLA still not returning old licences

Being an HGV 1 licence holder of “mature years” I have to renew my vocational licence periodically.

Not one to leave too much to chance, I photocopied everything before enclosing a stamped, self-addressed envelope and covering letter requesting my old licence be returned to me, as per MCN’s good advice.

Wouldn’t you know it, old licence not returned.

They obviously couldn’t even be arsed to return the SAE. Thankfully they haven’t omitted any of my current categories.
