If the Great Gatsby wore motorcycle boots… The Alpinestars Dolomiti Gore-Tex boot is made mainly from mesh with leather inserts.
It also features a Gore-Tex XCR waterproof and breathable membrane. Although they might look fairly brittle, there’s a rigid steel shank insert, heel counter, toe reinforcement, foam-padded ankle cups and padded gearshift pad.
They’re available in black or brown, in sizes 5-13 (Euro 38-48) and cost £139.95.
