Ocean raise money for Help for Heroes

On 06 February 2010, Ocean Plymouth Motorrad celebrated the arrival of the updated BMW R1200GS, BMW R1200GS Adventure and BMW R1200RT.

As well as offering guests the opportunity to test ride the new models, Ocean held a Charity Auction in aid of Help for Heroes, which was run by a local hero, raising a staggering £1,627.36.

Auction lots included a tank driving day, various bike clothing items, signed Plymouth Argyle Rugby shirt and Plymouth Albion tickets.

Guests were also asked for donations for pasties and local beer, kindly supplied by Dartmoor Breweries

Peter Cramp, Motorcyle General Manager, commented on the success of the day.

“We had a fantastic number of customers and local bike clubs attend the launch event and we were delighted to welcome representatives from H4H.

“The total raised for Help the Heroes was incredible and I’d like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who came and donated their time and money to this worthy cause.”

With the launch event coinciding with the England v Wales International Rugby match, Ocean also entertained their guests with cinema style screens broadcasting the game.
