Carole Nash MCN show: Bike Build live!

1 of 3

Some restorations can take months if not years but at the Carole Nash MCN motorcycle show a restorer is attempting to turn boxes of parts into a running bike in just four days.

The Yamaha TZR250 3XV V-twin will be painstakingly pieced together by Cider County Strokers owner Wayne Pipe and mechanic Jason Wood. If it all goes to plan Pipe aims to have the chassis completed by Friday night ready for the engine to be fitted on Saturday. On Sunday Pipe will fire-up the finished bike.

As well as the live bike-build Pipe has bought along two of his previous restorations, an immaculate ’82 Yamaha IT465 and a ‘Yamillia’ Supermoto special. A showcase for Pipes talents, the Aprilia framed special is fitted with a 350YPVS engine, bespoke yokes and an upside down TZR swing arm.

The Carole Nash MCN motorcycle show runs from February 4-7th and tickets cost £18 on the door. For full details and opening times see www.mcnmotorcycleshow.com.
