New Yoshimura performance cams for the Busa

Yoshimura have revealed new performance cams for the 2008-on Suzuki Hayabusa, claimed to liberate yet more power and torque from what is already one of the world’s fastest production bikes.

The new ST-1 camshaft set (intake: lift 9.5mm/duration 249.0°; exhaust: lift 8.7mm/duration 235°), when used in conjunction with Yoshimura’s JMCA 4-2-1-2 full exhaust system, and without any fuel injection adjustment, delivers 175bhp at the rear wheel – 3bhp over the same set up with stock cams. Torque output is improved at higher rpm, also.

The addition of a race-style open exhaust plus tailored fuel mapping will obviously give considerable gains over stock.

The new cams cost £1103.76 (per set intake/exhaust) and will be available from www.phoenixnw.co.uk from the end of February 2010.
