Crosby Moriwaki on sale next week

1980s racing legend Graeme Crosby’s iconic Moriwaki superbike is expected fetch £50,000+ when it goes on sale at auction next Wednesday.

The Kawasaki Z1-powered machine is the very one on which New Zealander Croz’ first sprang to prominence after arriving in the UK in 1979. That success led to works rides first with Suzuki in the UK and at the TT and then with Yamaha in 500GPs coming 2nd in the 1982 series. 

The bike was bought by ex-racer and sponsor Gordon Pantall at the end of’79 and was dismantled and stored for almost two decades before being restored in 2006/7.
