Innocent sausage mown down by police motorcyclist

A man dressed as an Italian sausage has been struck by a police motorcycle as he competed in the annual Opening Day Klements Racing Sausages Relay Race in Milwaukee, USA.

The running relay is part of the Milwaukee Brewers baseball teams opening ceremony.

The accident occurred when the Italian sausage ran across the police motorcyclists’ path as he attempted to ‘high five’ a grand mother and her daughter watching the relay.

The sausage escaped injury and was able to complete his leg of the relay, handing the baton over to a Polish sausage.
 
Other racing sausages taking part in the relay were a Bratwurst, Polish Sausage, Hot Dog and a new addition: the Chorizo.
