R&G Racing launch new race-developed engine case covers

R&G Racing has announced a range of tough new engine covers that could save motorcyclists thousands of pounds in the event of a crash.

These new products have been developed during this season’s R&G Racing Suzuki GSX-R Trophy and now the products are available for a wide-range of machines – and they’ve been thoroughly crash tested by the racers in the R&G-sponsored series!

Made from tough and durable polycarbonate, the R&G Racing engine covers bolt on to the existing item and offer strength, durability and add to the looks of the bike.

They are slimline for maximum ground clearance and despite offering maximum protection to the engine, they are also ultra-lightweight.

Parts include crankcase covers, starter/generator covers, oil-pump housing covers and dry and wet clutch covers.

Around 25 machines and models are included in the first application batch, but more makes and models will be added soon.

Popular machines such as GSX-Rs, CBRs, Fireblades, R1s and R6s are included in the launch range, along with engine covers for a number of KTM and Ducati machines.

Simon Hughes, R&G Racing’s Sales Director, says: “The cost of repairing a smashed engine case is pretty high, and that’s even if no gravel or foreign matter has been ingested into the motor itself, which could then mean a pricey re-build.

“The use of our engine covers gives maximum protection should the worst happen and we know they do the job as the riders in the R&G Racing Suzuki GSX-R Trophy have shown us during our race development.”

The R&G Racing engine covers are available from dealers at the end of the month.
