MP backs MCN Reclaim Wales campaign

MP Lembit Opik is backing MCN’s campaign to reclaim North Wales for motorcyclists.
Opik aims to join us on his Suzuki GS1000 when we descend on the region on Sunday.   

We’re taking a stance against a police force whose indiscriminate and relentless targeting of motorcyclists is driving law-abiding riders out of one the UK’s most scenic areas. We decided action was needed after North Wales Police admitted to stopping around 400 motorcyclists every summer weekend including 350 who have committed no offence.

Lib Dem MP Opik said: “It’s just so bigoted.

“It creates two problems. Firstly it damages the relationship between police and bikers because bikers feel victimised and secondly it wastes everybody’s time.”
