Race developed R1 screen from Skidmarx

Skidmarx has introduced a double bubble screen for the 2009 Yamaha R1 based on the screen that they produced for newly-crowned British Superbike Champion Leon Camier.

His victory on the Airwaves Yamaha means that the current British Superbike, Superstock and Supersport champions all relied on British-made Skidmarx race screens this season.

Just like the racing screens, double bubbles are shaped to enhance the aerodynamics of the bike and increase the air pocket behind the screen, giving the rider greater protection from buffeting at high speed.

Designed to replace the original factory-fitted item on road bikes, Skidmarx screens utilise the existing mounting points and fasteners, so no modification is necessary.

Skidmarx manufacture their screens in the UK using 3mm acrylic in a choice of clear, light or dark tints.  The double bubble retails for £49.95 including VAT, while coloured versions can be ordered too (for a £6 surcharge).

Replacement standard screens are also available, in clear, light or dark tints, priced at £39.95.

Coloured versions, including red, yellow, bright blue and sold black, sell for £45.95.

Skidmarx will be exhibiting at this year’s NEC Bike Show from 27th November to 6th December, where they have two stands; Hall 1 at 1E80 and Hall 3a at3K36.
