My North Wales stories.

First time stopped doing about 38 in a 30 two police hiding near a bush extremely close to end of limit.

When I stopped they had a 17 year old girl in her Mum’s car stopped in tears because she couldn’t believe she got a ticket.

My 72 year old father was also stopped on a dual carriageway, near limit change.

Then the following year, I had a weekend away in Wales, and recieved a speeding ticket through the post.

I don’t remember seeing any fixed cameras or officers. So I queried it and asked for photo evidence.

They said I would need to appear in court to see that, so I offered to go to court and they dropped all charges.

A friend of mine also got a ticket the same day, and paid up but he didn’t see an officer either.

The law says officers must be visible to oncoming traffic, and wearing High viz, It would appear that they are breaking the law..
