Motorcycle intercom firm Starcom1 now makes a stand-alone wireless bluetooth system.

Starcom1 BT-GO is claimed to provide high quality communications for rider to passenger, or bike to bike (up to 150 metres) with additional bluetooth connection to mobile phones, satnav and mp3 players using the latest A2DP stereo audio facility.

It is easy to install and uses the current range of Starcom1 noise-canceling headsets making it suitable for all types of helmets.

Battery life is claimed to be good, with a full charge providing in excess of seven hours’ use. Charging can be from a mains adaptor or via a computer USB port, both provided in the kit. A charging indicator shows when the battery is fully charged.

The Starcom1 BT-GO is supplied complete as a solo kit with a number of helmet mounting options. It measures only 90 x 35 x 25mm and weighs 50g. It is also claimed to be fully waterproof.

It costs £140 per kit. See www.Starcom1.com for further details.
