New test: examiners should have more freedom

On the 14th May I took my part 1 motor cycle test at the new Norwich test centre. Although I completed all manouvers successfully I was failed because after two runs I only achieved 48kph during the swerve test.

I did however reach 54 kph on the emergency stop test. I can find no fault with the examiner or the test facility but I do feel that the examiner should be allowed some leeway regarding speed particularly for 125cc riders.

IĀ also feel that riders should be encouraged to anticipate hazards and adopt an appropiately safe speed for all conditions rather than having to swerve.
