Motorcycle parking at supermarkets

Have you tried to find a designated parking bay at your local hypermarket or supermarket?

Tesco/M&S Brookfield Farm Cheshunt have undertaken a massive refit recently but no designated parking bays. I raised this with customer services during construction and again three times, Twice they gave me a ref no, but to date no response.

But they now are putting parking tickets on illegally parked vehicles but when I spoke to the parking attendant enforcing the law they had no advice regarding motorcycles. I understand that the Road Traffic Act applies to supermarket car parks. 

I also visited Sainsbury’s Hoddesdon where again no designated motorcycle parking bays, only to be told at customer services desk “our customers don’t drive bikes so there is no need”. 

Not wishing to go on too much, visit the shopping centre in Harlow where Asda, Matalan, TKMax etc are, see if you can find the motorcycle parking area. At a time when we are now being subjected to fees for parking motorcycles it would be good if the major supernakets recognised us as potential customers.

By the way congrats to Tescos, Milford Haven who have a small area for about 5/6 bikes – better than nothing.
