King Of The Mountain

REDLINE, an unsigned hard rock band from Birmingham, are the outfit who’s song ‘King Of The Mountain’ plays out the TT coverage on ITV4.

REDLINE recorded the song as a tribute to the TT races and when North One won the contract to produce the programme the band decided to send the song off the Gerard Lane, who picked up the BAFTA on behalf of North One for their sports coverage of Formula 1 Racing.

REDLINE are all bikers, mad TT fans and one of their first ever gigs was at MCN ‘Live’ in Skegness 2 years ago. Since the television coverage started, REDLINE have been inundated with requests for the track, which appears on the bands debut album ‘Ignition’. The track was re-recorded as REDLINE have recently gotten a new vocalist and is featured on a new limited edition CD with 4 additional songs.

It is this version that was used by North One. The band are really stoked by the great reaction ‘King Of The Mountain has received fro new and old TT fans alike.

REDLINE hope to play on The Island at next years TT, in the meantime there is still another chance to see the highlights of the track and hear the song for yourselves on ITV1 next Sunday 21st June at midnight.

Ignition can be bought directly from the bands website: www.redlinerock.com  and the song and more information can be found on REDLINE’S myspace page: www.myspace.com/redlinerockuk
