Bikes for women

I just wanted to comment on the MCN feature on the top 5 bikes for women.

I often get annoyed about being seen in a certain way because I’m a female motorcyclist.  Regarding your feature on the top 5 bikes for us females. The bikes I’ve has since passing my test, GPZ500 – GS650 GT – CBR400.  I had an SV650 faired but after taking it on a track for which it went really well, I changed it as I wanted something with better performance.
 
I just wanted to let you know that we are a group of about 20 with a mixture of husband and wives as well as singles who ride out.  Eight of us are females. 

I ride a GSX-R600 K6 which I do track days on and another owns W Reg Gixer.  Two ride 650 bandits and then another rides a moto guzzi, then there one is on the wrong side of sixty and she rides a CBR600, also we have an R6 rider and our newest rider rides a divvy. 

None of us are that tall, I’m 5.4 1/2  and our shortest rider is about 4.10, but we don’t let that stop us riding what we want.  I have had a little extra put on the sole of my sidi’s and the seat customed.  I believe we are a good example of what women want to ride and how we get around it.
