Scott Redding passes CBT

MotoGP’s youngest ever winner, Scott Redding passed his CBT on his 16th birthday.

Redding, the winner of last year’s 125cc British Grand Prix, took the test in his home town of Gloucester.

He passed first time, but found riding the Sym 50cc scooter, which is restricted to 31mph, unnerving compared to riding his 140mph race bike. He told the BBC: “It’s a whole different ball game from the road to the circuit.

“On the road you’ve got to be so much more careful because there’s other people driving and riding. It’s not like you’re all going the same way. You’ve got oncoming traffic, you’ve got traffic lights to contend with, not just going in a circuit.”
