Broadcast-quality onboard recorder

On-board recording experts Drivedata have launched their latest system called the DR3 Video Recorder – a 180g unit the size of credit card that will record over three hours of broadcast quality footage.

It records directly on to an 8GB flashcard and has MPG/AVI recording capability at a maximum resolution of 720 x 576.

It records on two formats: MPEG2 for DVD and MPEG4 for web uploading and video streaming.

The unit itself is priced at £485 including VAT and you can add bundles including camera equipment.
